I want you to answer two DQs and respond to a classmate's response.
1. Why did Henry allow his wife to make him watch TV and play games with the neighbors instead of reading?
2. I think it's fair to say that nobody could have foreseen what would finally become of Henry Bemis. Henry finally get his wish, time enough at last to read. Discuss the irony that occurs at the end of this short story.
3. What do you think the message or theme of this story is?
4. Rate the story on a scale on 1-10, 1 being low and 10 being high. Why did you give it this rating?

the message is you should spend time with your family. and you shouldn't wast your time on stupid things
4. Rate the story on a scale on 1-10, 1 being low and 10 being high. Why did you give it this rating? 10 because it was interesting and had a very good message. plus he changed and spent more time with he's family

I know why wife wanted him to go and play video games was because, he always read on inappropriate times to read his book.

4. I rated the story a 5 cause it wasn't very excited and it didn't catch your attention so that's why I give it a 5 and it helped me visullised and it had many discriping words  |

1.Henry let his wife take him to movie night and game play night because he "said she is a good wife , she loves to watch television
2.Think the theme of this story is that there is always time to do more than one thing even if you thinks there not
3.I'll this story a 5-10 because I liked this story inspired me it made me think umm can do more than one thing during a life time and I liked when Henry let his wife Agnes take him to movie night and game night this is a good story

I would give this story a 5 because I liked some of the events that happened in the story . Also some other events didn't make me visualize or make predictions. I didn't think some events didn't fit in the story. The story was good and bad in the middle. So that's why I gave the story a 5.

On a scale of 1-10 I would give the story a 5 because I didn't like it as much as other story's I have read but it wasn't that bad .

3. I think the message of the story is that Henry Bemis wanted glasses to read but at the end he dropped they and they broke so he couldn’t read

4. 8 because it was exciting and kind of boring and because it had a twist ending

My answer is that don't be doing what you're no supposed to be doing it or else you won't pay attention. if it was me and I didn't know how to do it I would pay attention. Like in the story he was reading all the time. He locked himself in the bank's metal box
so he could read quietly .When he was locked in there he didn't notice that the world exploded but him. he was the only one in the planet.

1.he thought that now he would have time to read all the newspapers he wanted to only now there wouldn't be any more.
4.my rate would be 10 because this story is interesting because he always wants to read all the time and he get in trouble for reading the newspaper or books.

(5) I rate the story a 5 because Henry wasn't really interesting. Henry was NOT interesting because he would just read a book A LOT of times. Henry didn't even have ANY charactheristics too. The wife Agnes has a weird name,I bet she has a weird last name.
